My new blog!

So, herchek, shmerchek? Yes, that is my new blog. In July, my name will be officially April Herchek. So my first reaction, Herchek, Shmerchek! My husband to be, Daniel, first met each other at our school, Cal State Fullerton. We only knew each other, but never really talked. So every time we would see each other at parties, we introduced each other, talk for a bit, have awkward moments, and leave the room.

One day, our friend Jennifer, had a going away party. She was leaving to New York. I just broke up with my ex the day before the party, and was in a devastating mood. Everybody was drinking, especially me, and was more in a partying mood than usual. I quickly talked to Daniel and asked him to be my drinking buddy. He was nice enough guy, and didn't say no. We talked for hours about nothing, it was very much like a Seinfeld episode. Later that night, we were sitting on the couch, and Jen looked over at us. She said "Are you guys holding hands?" Again, Dan and I have been drinking, and well, we didn't realize we were holding hands. We looked at each other, and usually we both would feel awkward and walk away, but instead, our intoxication made us stayed, continuing to hold hands.

After that night, I messaged Daniel on myspace, when facebook didn't exist, and told him it was great seeing him and we should hang out more often. Two days later, he called me, and we hung out ever since. A year and a half later, he proposed. One of the happiest days of my life! And now, my life is about wedding planning. We recently had our engagement photo shoot, and of course, it looked awesome. Dan's friend, Roya Jade, decided to shoot our photos in Chicago, making the concept a Ferris Bueller Day off theme. I was excited that we shot our pictures in an art museum. That is the one thing I really wanted because Dan and I are fanatics when it comes to art.
