50's swimsuit

So 50's swimsuit. I have always been attracted to that type of swimsuit. Last year I was searching everywhere for the perfect 50's looking swimsuit. I think it's because I get really self-conscious of my body and feel that this type of swimsuit is sporting a sexy look and not being over the top or revealing so much. That is my problem with teeny tiny bikinis. There are some parts of my body that I wouldn't want anyone to see...so that is why I was attracted to 50's swimsuit. Some collection of these images just shows how sexy a 50s swimsuit can be.

Sporting yellow. Super cute.

Minus the hair, her red polka dot is super sexy.

Dance party!

Back in the days bathing suit.

So last year, this is what my swimsuit looks like, only in red. Now this is such a great suit especially your stomach is not looking so great. This hides majority of your chubs. So recently, my husband's mom found a swimsuit that her mother use to wear. A classic 50s swimsuit! I loved it!

Look how amazing this swimsuit looks! Tried it on, loved it! Now I rarely wear bathing suits, but this suit, I can wear it everyday...just lounging it..all the time.

So my essentials for the summer. A huge tote bag (yes, found my big black bag and its from H and M), my dad's hat, and 50's bathing suit!! Bring it on summer!!

Letty Funky Fabric

So my friend asked me to look up fabrics...she found this cool retro chair and wanted an amazing fabric that go with it. Her color scheme is blue, orange, and yellow. Of course, if someone ask me to find it, I will not sleep or rest until I found something...so first place I look...Etsy.

The place that really stood out for me on Etsy is Fresh modern Fabric. Her fabric is that retro look she's going after and had really cool fabric designs.

I thought this was a cute look and had different colors.

Very retro look and thought either the greenish yellow or the blue would look awesome with the chair

Sometimes a solid bold color will make the chair make it look more elegant and funky. Just a thought.

I thought this look was awesome. Had somewhat the colors she was looking for, but what really stood out is the geometric pattern! Love this.

Another etsy store I was looking at is Qiana Lee Pucel Graham.

Fish fabric with the color blue, orange and yellow. Great price!

And lastly, sewfreshfabrics.
Love the lines...just would look cool on the chair.
Again, one unique pattern with two of the colors she was looking for would really stand out.
This one is called Zen Garden Sherbert.
Mingle Leaf Stripe fabric. Going with the color scheme.

Oh and if you go on design sponge, it shows before and after pictures of chairs that were upholstered. Thought they were awesome.

MOMA

Oh my love for art...Museum of Modern Art is one of my favorite art museum. I went to San Francisco MOMA and New York MOMA. I even shop there! For my husband's wedding gift I gave him a cool watch and for the maid of honor i gave her a funky cool necklace (which are no longer on their website).

But they have the most coolest home accessories that I check out every chance I get!

Ultra-flat Multicolor Wall Clock. Gives a room more color..
Table Linens. Again, I love color...

Garland light
. Something unique and different you could put in your bedroom, living room..

Tower of clips organizer. Really cute and smart design to hold keys, cards, receipts.

And I personally want this. Index chopping board. It is so freaking cool!

BLU DOT

I love blu dot. I love everything about them. It was founded by three people who met in college, and shared the same love for art, architecture and design. When they left college and started to furnish their homes, they didn't like the stuff they could afford and couldn't afford the stuff they liked. So they decided to start up a business, Blu Dot in 1997. I can relate to this story. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford their stuff! But they're not overpriced and do love their look.

Oversize handbag

I am in a desperate search for a really big, fashionable handbag. Yes, I mean huge. I like to carry a LOT of things, especially gym clothes. Yes, gym clothes! I go to the gym after work and carrying a gym bag everyday at bart station, commuting 6 blocks to my work, it looks pretty ridiculous. I really want to splurge for a huge handbag so that way I can have a cute bag, go to the gym to fit all my crap, and then go out and party after! Now is that too much to ask? So far, no success. I even look at cute gym bags, but nothing caught my eye. I really want a huge fashionable bag, (doesn't have to be designers, but so far the good ones and expensive ones are), that can fit A LOT of crap. I carry gym clothes, laptop sometimes, notebooks, wallet, makeup bag...just a lot! And when I look at luggage bag, that is way too big.

So, I'm still on the search for a huge bag, and what I have found so far:

Marc Jacob bag. First off, want a bag with a should strap. This sucker cost over 500 dollars. Love it though, but I know I can't spend that much. Plus, I think I want it a little bit bigger, hehe.

Linea Pelle Dylan handbag. Again, price range is too high, but oh man, how pretty is this bag?!

Then by looking at my usual blogs I like to read, Green wedding shoes, they featured a handbag for cameras. What a great idea! I can imagine to all my photographer friends wanted the same concept of having a cute bag that is cute and carry all their heavy duty cameras. The woman who designed it is Kelly Moore, and I really want her bag! Cute color and style, just want it and got me thinking, that could fit all my clothes and crap! I really want the Libby bag!
Look how big this bag is!! This two tone handbag from lulus is on my budget and looks like it could fit everything. What do you guys think?
And lastly, a Diaper bag! Yes, a fashionable diaper bag that I really want. I know that I don't have a baby, (not yet), but once I do, I would want a designer looking bag to carry diapers and bottles. If I'm in the search for myself with gym clothes, why not make an investment to a big bag that will serve as a baby bag as well! So yes, this Timi and Leslie diaper bag, I love it. I really want it!

So that is my search, I would really love opinions and what bag should I get?! Or if you have any suggestions, I would love to know!

LZF: Light and Nature

Life in Oakland/San Francisco has been amazing. So much to do, so much to see, so little time to blog! Yes, another excuse of me not blogging that much. So my life has been all about lighting. I work in lighting showroom called City Lights, amazing place (of course I'm being bias). Every customer has different design for their house. One customer came in and was interested in an LZF fixtures, I looked it up online and was blown away of their designs. They have extraordinary light fixtures that I have never witness. Check out their website!
